Pure&Crafted –what to expect

In just a few days, the Berlin Postbahnhof will open its doors for the very first Pure&Crafted Festival, where top bands such as The Hives, Refused, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Mighty Oaks and many more will be entertaining the crowds at this all-new music and lifestyle festival presented by BMW Motorrad. So, if you’re into music, motorcycles and new heritage culture, come along on August 28th and 29th and join the party.

Riders are welcomed with open arms and we’ve created a big parking space especially for your motorcycles right in front of the festival area at the Postbahnhof in Berlin Friedrichshain. But don’t worry if you’ve decided to leave your bike at home, because the event can also be easily reached by public transport (the nearest station is “Ostbahnhof”).

For music lovers we have two venues – a big main stage (outdoor) and a smaller Club Stage inside the Postbahnhof. The main stage looks out over the Berlin skyline and Mighty Oakes and Blood Red Shoes will be rocking out on Friday. Then on Saturday The Hives, Refused, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis and Suns of Thyme will perform. On the Club Stage, Allah-Las and Friska Viljor play on Friday, while Saturday’s line-up includes Talisco, Abay, BRNS, Birth of Joy and Syd Arthur.

For motorcycle enthusiasts, the Wheels Area offers everything from a 1928 wall of death to bike builders and artwork services such as classic pin striping. Various custom bike garages like Nagel Motors, Urban Motor and Blitz Motorcycles are exhibiting, while BMW Motorrad will display some rare and hand-picked concept and custom bikes, including the four famous ‘Project Japan’ R nineTs and the new Concept Path22 that first broke cover at Wheels and Waves. Furthermore the BMW plant in Berlin will be demonstrating the skilful art of drawing lines on tanks and other objects by hand.

A special highlight of the festival is the raffle on the Saturday night. Every person who buys a festival-pin has the chance to win a brand-new R nineT donated by BMW Motorrad and customized on site by Urban Motor. This Pure&Crafted festival bike is absolutely unique and will be finished in a ‘bike build-off’ on location at the Urban Motor booth.

The open air food court and the beer garden in front of the main stage are where you’ll also find many Pure&Crafted-themed culinary services, including The Dudes Delikatessen, Roamers and Porn Dogs (just ask the locals for more details!). Those who prefer vegan and vegetarian food are of course also well catered for.

Brands and beards

Even if you don’t ride a bike, you’ll still feel very comfortable at the Pure&Crafted Festival. Quality brands like Nudie Jeans, Red Wing Shoes and Burlington can be found exhibiting their crafted products in the ‘General Store’. Those sporting facial hair will be delighted to learn that OAK will also be on site with their natural beard care products and are ready to advise on beard care and equipment. Futhermore, the Pure&Crafted Festival welcomes Movember as its partner. In cooperation with Bell helmets, Movember will be raising funds in support of men’s health, so if you make a donation, you stand a chance of winning one of several unique Bell motorcycle helmets which have been designed by various artists.

Buying tickets

Tickets are available at and of course on location. Weekend tickets are EUR 49.00 and day tickets are EUR 22.00 for the Friday and EUR 35.00 for the Saturday.
