The INTERMOT on 3–7 October 2012: This autumn, it’ll be hot!

BMW Motorrad is throttling up again! In early October, INTERMOT will again be hosting presentations of the absolute highlights this coming motorcycle season. This year too, BMW Motorrad will again be giving all motorcycle fans some great treats. Be there live! Not only the whole BMW world of experience awaits you, but an exclusive world premiere as well!

Experience the absolute motorcycle highlight this year – the next chapter of the success story behind the travel enduros and an exclusive world premiere: the new R 1200 GS. This was not an easy task for the developers and engineers at BMW Motorrad. How can you improve on a living motorcycle legend and a travel enduro that is already outstanding to start with? By launching a revolution in the details. The result: the perfection of an icon.

The R 1200 GS is powered by a new two cylinder opposed twin engine design delivering 125 hp (92 kW). Based on a new concept of combined air and liquid cooling and vertical flows through the cylinders, the engine operates efficiently, reliably, and with high torques at all times. Like its predecessor, also the new R 1200 GS ranks among the most versatile of motorcycles. This is also made possible by the extensive options that can modify the GS to any requirements. Visit us at the Intermot, and discover the new R 1200 GS, exclusive and live, in the great experience area!

For the launch of the R 1200 GS, BMW Motorrad will also be embarking on a unique journey – and you can be there too! In a “One World. One R 1200 GS.” event, BMW Motorrad will be sending five enduro adventurers on the new GS on five tours all around the world. Do you want to be one of the lucky ones who will be the first to put the new BMW R 1200 GS through its paces?

No less thrilling will be the presentation of the new GS highlights, the F 700 GS and the F 800 GS.
The F 700 GS is pure, surefire fun for everyone. The fascination of this successor to the F 650 GS lies in its lively suspension and its superb, familiar response. Also the revised design lends the F 700 GS the mature look it deserves. This makes the F 700 GS the ideal allround machine for every riding style, so get to know it now!

Also the F 800 GS will be presenting itself in a new garb at the INTERMOT. Specifically the front section of the suspension was heavily revised. This provides the vehicle with that extra boost to its dynamic character and reflects the offroad side of the F 800 GS. This and many more new features make the F 800 GS the ultimate versatile enduro with a history of sporty antecedents!

With the C evolution, BMW Motorrad will be presenting the first near-production prototype of an electric scooter. This is BMW’s intelligent answer to growing traffic, rising energy costs, and ever tighter CO2 provisions. Designed for traffic between the periphery and the city centre, the C evolution has a powerful motor, and offers lots of riding fun. So come and see for yourself the future of urban mobility at our trade fair stand in Cologne.

Ultra light weight, impressive strength, and superior handling – these are the fascinating hallmarks of the new HP4, which likewise will be presented at INTERMOT. Based on the RR, this motorcycle was built from the best materials and promises pure power, pure intelligence, and pure exclusiveness.

Over forty motorcycles in total will be making the worlds of BMW Motorrad and Husqvarna an experience up close at the INTERMOT.
