An exposition recently took place in Paris, bringing together art, innovation and sustainable development in a unique and dynamic setting. Taking place at the Carreau du Temple in the centre of the French capital, among the many exhibitors dedicated to showcasing sustainable luxury products was BMW Motorrad with its C evolution scooter, due for launch next month.
The idea behind the ‘1618 Paris’ show is that there is a strong demand for sustainable luxury products and services that are ethically and environmentally responsible, and that companies and brands who successfully integrate ethics and environmental values within their organisation are at a global competitive advantage.
Targeted at those who desire excellence, uniqueness and innovation in their lives – for work and for pleasure – the 1618 Paris show identifies the most promising initiatives across the globe from a range of sectors, including design, mobility, tourism, new tech, fashion, accessories and well-being.
With zero-emissions sustainable technology at the heart of the message behind the BMW C evolution, the premium e-scooter was put on display at the fourth edition of this festival that takes place during France’s Sustainable Development Week. Along with other exciting products from the BMW i sub-brand, guests to the BMW exhibition stand were able to see all of the latest serial production solutions from the BMW Group dedicated to meeting our mobility needs of today and tomorrow.
According to BMW Motorrad France Marketing Manager Sebastien Lorenz, the heart of Paris’s Marais district was beating to the rhythm of creative innovation, art and sustainable development for the three-day duration of the festival, which attracted a cool, hip crowd eager to find out more about clean mobility.
“It was great to be part of this free festival which attracted many interested participants to experience the best sustainable luxury products and preview the innovations of the future. All those who attended obviously care about the future of our planet, so it was good for them to see the i3 and i8 premium electric cars as well as the C evolution we had on display. An e-scooter like this makes perfect sense in a place like Paris, so we naturally had lots of interest in the forthcoming production model and were able to collect the details of many prospective customers who want to test-ride it from May onwards. And with our Social Test Ride event soon taking place here in Paris on 24 May, I’d encourage as many people as possible to apply for their chance to ‘Ride the Revolution’!”
