The BMW Motorrad assist system ASC (automatic stability control) has become one of the most popular items of optional equipment ex works.

The reason – The automatic stability control system from BMW Motorrad limits the drive torque transferred from the engine as a function of the road conditions and therefore the coefficient of friction. The result – There is no longer any rear wheel spinning, power transmission becomes more efficient, and active riding safety is enhanced considerably in threshold situations, e.g. in the rain. When regulating intervention by the electronics is not desired, for instance on the racetrack, the rider can also deactivate the system at the push of a button, even while riding.
