Felipe Masionnave:

How long have you been riding a motorcycle and how did you develop your passion for off-road riding?
I have ridden since I was 15 years old; the passion was for off-road from the beginning and it came from my father and my eldest brother.

What do you associate with the BMW Motorrad GS?
The GS I associate it travelling and having adventures with friends, family or my wife in different countries and regions.

What was your most extreme or unusual enduro experience to date?
A really challenging trip I did to Bolivia with my father and brother. This included crossing rivers and endless mud roads in the Amazon rainforest and riding at 5000 meters in the Atacama Desert.

What are your goals for the GS Trophy 2012?
My first goal is to have a lot of fun and have the possibility to exchange different stories and places to visit in the future with other riders. If I can do this and at the same time get a good position it would be perfect.

The GS Trophy is a unique event. What do you find most fascinating about it?
What fascinates me is to meet bikers from all the world and ride in really extreme conditions and on many roads which could not be ridden on if it were not for this event.

What other goals do you wish to achieve in the long term with your GS?
I'm planning my honeymoon for March: a trip from Patagonia to Alaska on my 1200 Adventure with my wife.

Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about?
I would like to thank BMW Motorrad and BMW Argentina for giving me the possibility of making a dream come true. I also would like to wish the best for all participants and people working in this event.

What do you associate with the BMW Motorrad GS?
It provides me with security, comfort and the possibility to enjoy different types of adventures both on and off the road.

What was your most extreme or unusual enduro experience to date?
The experience I enjoyed most was trying to go around the Villarica volcano at 800 to 1200 metres above sea level. It was a very hard experience because there wasn't a road I had to look for the single trails and sometimes there weren't any trails. I did this journey on my own During this trip I was on my KLX 650 93 - it took me 2 days to finish.

What are your goals for the GS Trophy 2012?
My goals are to enjoy this experience and do my best to help my team and any team that needs help to finish the GS Trophy
