Tom Barrer:

How long have you been riding a motorcycle and how did you develop your passion for off-road riding?
I have had my motorbike licence since I was 19 years old. Off-road passion comes from the GS's spirit : to be unstoppable

What do you associate with the BMW Motorrad GS?
What I associate with the BMW GS is liberty, travel, friendship, meetings

What was your most extreme or unusual enduro experience to date?
My most extraordinary enduro experience is the GS Trophy. It has really been the first time for me to appreciate and to discover all the possibilities that my 800 GS can offer and that I would never have suspected.

What are your goals for the GS Trophy 2012?
The most important goals I have set myself are to derive pleasure, learn about life's experiences, meet very different people and cultures and maybe win...why not???

The GS Trophy is a unique event. What do you find most fascinating about it?
The Camel Trophy has always been a dream for me so consequently ... the dream comes true with my favourite motorbike manufacturer :-)

What other goals do you wish to achieve in the long term with your GS?
Many trips all around the world

Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about?
I have a lot of experience in trial VTT and I do many different extreme sports!!!!!

Fabien David:

How long have you been riding a motorcycle and how did you develop your passion for off-road riding?
Since we were kids; everything started with the fact that our Mum did not allow us to ride motorbikes because she considered it too dangerous. For my 12th birthday, my uncle offered me an old 125 xls to cruise in the vines (we are wine producers on the same land; our Dad is passionate about motorbikes and has always had a BMW; today he has an 1150 GS and our Mum a 650GS). All our environment pushed us to off-road riding.

What do you associate with the BMW Motorrad GS?
For us the GS is a synonym of freedom, nature, adventure and high versatility for the practice of our passion.

What was your most extreme or unusual enduro experience to date?
The day I have discovered the mountain landscapes of Pyrenees with my girlfriend.

What are your goals for the GS Trophy 2012?
Have fun, see awesome things, enjoy each single moment and of course giving our very best, rocking on!

The GS Trophy is a unique event. What do you find most fascinating about it?
Riding so far from our home would never have been possible without BMW, thanks !!!

What other goals do you wish to achieve in the long term with your GS?
Convince our friends to buy one of them in order to go together and discover unusual places! To get them to enjoy the mountain trails of France Spain or even Morocco as much as we do.

Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about?
Thanks a lot to all the staff. Looking forward to be at Temuco, God bless BMW, the GS and the off- road trips, bivouacking among the passionate!

What was your most extreme or unusual enduro experience to date?
My best experience is the forbidden trip (with my 800 GS) on the Atlantic beaches from Lacanau to Cap Ferret in the middle of winter. Sand out of sight, the sea and power in my rear wheel.
