First-time participant India is very honoured to have the possibility to tackle the front position in the Int. GS trophy 2020. Shakeel Basha (30), Rickiey Naik (43) and Sathyananth Vasudevan (36) are very eager to show off their riding skills. Shakeel Basha from Coimbatore and Hindu Kumar Naik from Bangalore are both businessmen. Vasudevan Sathyanath from Tiruppur works as a civil engineer.

What made you want to learn how to ride a motorbike?
The passion that I have towards any motorbike. The happiness you get while cruising through the wind and dirt is something which will never go away.
What do you expect from the Int. GS Trophy 2020?
To fight for the trophy and bring home the honour which has never been done before in this sport.
Why will your team win the Int. GS Trophy 2020?
Because we have fallen and learnt a lot of things in the hard way from every fall. This has helped us grow and given us more confidence.

What does the “Spirit of GS” mean to you?
“One for all, all for one” - “One for all” – each person contributes to the whole. “All for one” means that nobody is left behind.

What do you expect from the Int. GS Trophy 2020?
It’s an opportunity for me to interact with riders from other countries and also put my riding skills to test to understand my strengths and weaknesses.

What does the “Spirit of GS” mean to you?
I always wanted to be a biker. I loved riding and I loved the original boxer twins and the smell from the carburetors and the sense of adventure that came with it. I think that spirit still influences everything I do today.

What do you expect from the Int. GS Trophy 2020?
I love the feeling of riding the bike hard, the pleasure of a rally. It’s those hurdles that make the GS Trophy 2020 the tough event that it is. That’s what is going to make it interesting for me.
