BMW Motorrad Customizing Championship 2023
For many years the R 18 has inspired bikers worldwide to live a truly meaningful life on two wheels. Anyone who drives one of the R 18 models is deeply connected to the calling of his soul. And a proud member of a likeminded community. With this year's BMW Motorrad Customizing Championship we celebrated outstanding creativity and craftsmanship: Customizing at the highest level with #SoulFuel Spirit. And this is also reflected in the finalists and our proud winner bike.
In our 100th anniversary year, we are celebrating the #SoulFuel spirit - among other things, of course, with the customizing contest of the year. Over the past few weeks, customizers from all over the world have created something unique as part of the BMW Motorrad Customizing Championship. Six bikes were selected by our expert jury and one more by the public. These outstanding seven finalist bikes were then examined in more depth during the finals in Berlin and now the winner bike of the contest has finally been determined.

Oleksandr Romanchuk and Artem Cherepenko spent almost seven months customizing their R 18 "UNBREAKABLE". Winning the Customizing Championship 2023 is a dream come true for the two: "Winning here is a great recognition of our work," said the two Ukrainians. Decisive for the victory was not only the outstanding craftsmanship but also the most convincing design concept of this extraordinary custom bike.

Our professional jury thoroughly evaluated the results of the competition. Among other things, they took these criteria into account in their evaluation: How harmonious is the overall appearance of the bike, how elaborate is the work and how strongly is the spirit of BMW Motorrad reflected in the bike. The public vote also played a role in the selection of the winning bike.
