The participants in the Int. GS Trophy 2020.

Korea is participating for the fourth time in a row in the Int. GS Trophy. This time, they’re sending Yeonsoo Yun (23), Hyukyong Kwon (46) and Hyunwook Kim (32) to New Zealand to meet their competitors. All three of them are from South Korea. Yun Yeonsoo is a magazine editor, Kwon Hyukyong works as a cameraman for the news and Kim Hyunwook is a businessman.

What does the “Spirit of GS” mean to you?

Endurance, passion, spirit of never giving up.

What made you want to learn how to ride a motorbike?

My dad gave me a little dirty bike when I was young. And then he asked me: “Can you ride this?”

What special skills do you bring to your team?

What does the “Spirit of GS” mean to you?    

It's my way of life. Everything must have an end if there is a beginning. If it's not over, no matter how hard it is, don't give up. Do my best until the end.
 Even if it's over.

For me, a week without my motorbike means undergoing surgery or recovering at the hospital.

What is your favourite trail?

The trail (I want to ride the most) is from Mount Halla at the southern end of the Korean peninsula to Mount Baektu at the northern end of the Korean peninsula. But now I can't go. Because my country is divided into South and North Korea. I want to ride my GS someday at that trail. At that time, I would like to ride through the beautiful Korean peninsula during the Int. GS Trophy with my international friends.

What made you want to learn how to ride a motorbike? 
   

When I was hanging out with my friend at his family’s restaurant, I had the chance to deliver food by riding the motorcycle. I have been crazy about riding motorcycles since then.

For me, a week without my motorbike would be a boring week since I am a person who enjoys riding even on rainy days.
