The Pure&Crafted Festival 2021 in Berlin
"Berlin, I love you and it's good to be back." Pelle Almqvist, frontman of the Hives, was just able to shout this sentence into the audience after his performance - the rest was drowned in cheers. Because Almqvist had virtually spoken from the soul of all 6,000 visitors of the Pure&Crafted Festival. Impressed, exhausted, rocked out and happy - actually everything was as always. And still, this year's festival was very special. After a long pandemic abstinence we could finally party again. And it was celebrated. The summer garden of the fair Berlin as a new location was exactly the right choice for this.
As always, the stages formed the center of the festival: On the Mainstage and the 2nd Stage rocked stars like The Hives, Jake Bugg, Kadaver and Alice Phoebe Lou. While on the second stage Sofia Portanet, Jupiter Jones and the Picturebooks, among others, finally managed to thrill the crowd with live music again. The cheers to every riff, to every song, to every chorus could be felt all over the grounds. How it had all been missing: Good to be back.
Motorcycle lifestyle for every taste
Away from the stages, plenty of bikes and motorcycle culture of the finest inspired: In the impressive architecture of the Palais, the "General Store" presented New Heritage culture, fashion and accessories. In the "Wheels Area", various customizers and communities made hearts beat faster with their projects: Hookie Co. JvB-Moto WalzWerk showed what is possible with craftsmanship, inspiration and a portion of time and passion. And in the "Hall of Fame" there were quite a few visitors who could no longer believe their eyes in view of the artistic conversions. Exactly this incredulous shaking of heads was of course also to be found in the Motodrom, where the Motorellos once again proved that the laws of gravity obviously do not apply to them: Masters just don't fall from the sky.
The Kids Area, by the way, was also well attended, where the little ones could get started with the children's driving license - the early bird gets the practice. And for those who needed a bit of peace and quiet, the Pure&Crafted cinema was the place to be at the Lisbon Motorcycle Film Festival. In short: Pure&Crafted 2021 was a complete success and so for 2022 it is simply: We will be back.
